Welcome to Real Mom Talk!

I am a 23-year-old mother from Florida, striving to break the cycle of generational trauma while also working on healing my own childhood wounds and raising compassionate children. My mental health has been deeply impacted by past experiences and childhood struggles with mental illness. My journey through motherhood has been challenging, but my partner and I have stood together for 8 years, married for 4.5 years.

Parenthood was always our dream, and at 19, a year before our wedding, we conceived our first child. Sadly, due to medical complications during pregnancy, we had to say goodbye to our baby boy at 27 weeks gestation – an incredibly difficult time in our lives. After facing fertility issues, we were blessed with the news of expecting our oldest daughter who will turn two in December. Soon after her arrival we found out we were expecting our youngest daughter, who we had just two months ago.

I’ve decided to start this blog to share my journey as a mother working on healing and releasing her own pain, while also managing my mental health challenges. Whether you’re a mom feeling isolated in your mental health struggles despite having a supportive partner like I do, or if you just need someone who understands, The Real Mom Talk blog is your safe space.

We don’t sugarcoat the realities of motherhood here, and we offer a judgment-free zone. This blog will focus on various topics such as mental health, self-care, postpartum depression and anxiety, handling two children under two years old, and all things related to little ones. It’s also an avenue for connecting with other moms.

I will share my experiences as a mother of two children under the age of two. Additionally, I will touch on topics related to mental health and how I navigate it while fulfilling my role as a parent. Postpartum depression and anxiety will be addressed, along with strategies for overcoming these difficulties. Self-care practices will also be explored, including my personal favorite routines and recommended products.

Real Mom Talk has social media profiles and an email address for mothers to easily connect with other moms, ask questions, and share their stories. If you have personal experiences to share or discuss, you are welcome to do so. I’m happy to accommodate your requests, whether by mentioning your name or keeping it anonymous. Furthermore, I will showcase products for newborns and toddlers, as well as occasional skincare and beauty routines that I personally use for self-care. I’ll also share my self-care practices that help me stay grounded and maintain a positive outlook.
